Getting to know Bob Tulloch. FNZIPP

A photograph of Bob Tulloch

For anyone who has lived in Tauranga during the 70’s through to 2022, Bob Tulloch will have been a household name, synonymous with high quality photography. His portraits of families and children will be seen in many many hundreds of homes, his wedding photography won him national awards and his other passion of landscapes and seascapes have featured in the coffee table books he has published over the years. Never one to sit back on his reputation he constantly strives for that magic shot that has his been his hallmark.

Bob is a people person, with an easygoing personality that puts people at ease. You will be in the hands of a true professional. Don’t be surprised if he turns up in a pair of shorts. If you are having your photos taken on the beach, he wants to be able to wade into the water if need be.

His awards over many National judging events of the NZIPP, accumulated to the level of Master of Photography and Fellow. He has been invited to judge at the Australian awards, and co-ordinated the NZIPP judging event. He is a past president of the NZIPP, and was awarded an overseas study grant in 2002 which successfully enabled a promising NZ photographer to free study at the famous Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara

After a short blip due to eye problems he is delighted to have had successful surgery that has allowed him to continue doing the work that he loves.  Bob encourages good communication in the lead up to a portrait appointment, as there can often be questions. Nothing will be too much trouble.
